I was brought up in Burghead in Morayshire, Scotland and my first musical experiences are still an influence today. At the age of five I began playing the piano with the late Barbara Stewart and was introduced to the world of classical music which I greatly enjoyed. A few years later I began singing Gaelic song with it's own pure sound.

Today my musical tastes range from Mozart to modern age spiritual music with much in between.

When the harp came into my life some fourteen years ago, it was almost as if it provided a link between piano and voice. It too has a unique acoustic quality which I find inspiring. I now thoroughly enjoy bringing the harp and song combination to those who have perhaps never heard one before.

In 2005 I obtained a DipABRSM in Singing Teaching and I hope to be able to add to this in the future. I am currently a pupil of Ruth Black. I regularly teach singing and harp from home privately. New beginners of all ages are most welcome.

My most recent venture is conducting the Bennachie Singers who are based in Insch, Aberdeenshire. We have a wide ranging repertoire and have held a regional trophy for four years. The choir has performed locally for charity events. New members are most welcome.

I believe we all have a song within us and when you find it, you find yourself.
